Abstract
Mitro is main character of story "Mitro Marjani, written by famous author Madam Krishna Sobti in 1967 by Rajkamal Paperbacks Prakshan in 1967. 1967 was a period when India got his first lady Prime-minister and lots of new socio-economic polices were going to execute. Literacy rate was not favourable. Approximately less than 15% in rural and in urban it was less than 48% women were literate, though male condition was better in comparison to Indian women. Social structure had been Patriarchal and Caste base.
