Abstract
किसी भी समाज में किसी विचारधारा के प्रसार में साहित्य की अहम् भूमिका होती है I साहित्य के लेखन से न केवल तत्कालीन परिस्थियों की वस्तुस्थिति का प्रकटीकरण होता है बल्कि इसके द्वारा समान अनुभव वाले लोगो के बीच एक प्रकार जुडाव भी उत्त्पन्न होता है I इससे उन्हें संगठित करने में भी मदद मिलती है, जो किसी भी आन्दोलन के लिए भी आवश्यक होता है I इस अध्ययन में दलित साहित्य क्या है तथा 19वीं, 20वीं और 21वीं सदी में दलित साहित्य का क्या स्वरूप रहा है उस पर भी विचार किया जायेगा I साथ ही उत्तर, दक्षिण एवं पश्चिम भारतीय साहित्य का भी अलग – अलग उल्लेख किया जायेगा I
